If you’ve played the original Xenoblade Chronicles game on the Wii, you might be wondering what’s going with the voice acting in the Definitive Edition due out on the Nintendo Switch at the end of this month.
In a recent appearance on the YouTube channel RogersBase, Rob Watters from Nintendo Treehouse put any concerns to rest – explaining how all of the cast had returned to re-record audio and voice dialogue for the new epilogue, Future Connected.
they got the voice cast back, even Melia – she’s returning
In case you’re wondering, Melia was played by Jenna Coleman. After the original Xenoblade Chronicles, she went on to play much larger roles such as Bucky Barnes’ girlfriend Connie in Captain America: The First Avenger and the companion of the eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who.
Rob also noted how “they had redone the lip-syncing” for the characters in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and that players would be able to select from the Japanese voices as well. This is all supported by both the original and remastered Xenoblade Chronicles soundtrack.
