Ever since it first launched on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch back in March 2019, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid has been improved, enhanced, and gone from strength to strength. Very soon though it’ll also be going physical, with a full Collector’s Edition now detailed and dated.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid lets you put your skills up against your friend and those from around the world, partaking in epic 3v3 tag team battles as you get the opportunity to decide once and for all who is the best Power Ranger. But if truth be known, in the early days it was a much more limited affair than what we are seeing now. Thankfully over time nWay have pushed out multiple content updates, and enhanced the base game enough so that it is now well worth playing. And that means the arrival of the Collector’s Edition will be something that should appeal to many.
Combining nWay’s development prowess with the publishing power of Maximum Games, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Collector’s Edition will be launching for Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch players on October 6th 2020. The physical version will include the full Collector’s Edition plus the never-been-released new character, Lauren Shiba. And if that gets you excited, a limited preorder bonus is available now, offering 2 copies of the Green Ranger V2 skin – letting players get one for themselves and one for a friend.
With Battle for the Grid pitting current and classic Power Rangers and villains from the multiverse’s over 25-year history against one another in epic 3v3 tag team battles, if you’re a fan of the franchise and looking for a new fighter, this is one to seriously consider. It’s helped along by delivering simple controls, much fluidity, and enough encouragement to see advanced players delve into its gameplay mechanics, which include real-time assist takeover, dynamic defense through push blocking and aerial guard, customizable juggle combos, and a unique Megazord comeback mode.
Include crossplay over Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Stadia, and there really is little reason to not consider a purchase of the game – if not now, then as and when that Collector’s Edition rocks up n October.
