Riot Games has narrowed down the release window of the first League of Legends spin-off.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story was one of several series spin-offs announced last year. Like all of the announced projects, Ruined King is being developed by an external partner and published under the company’s Forge label.
The game is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch in early 2021. It will also arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X a little bit later, and all owners will be able to upgrade their copy for free.
Airship Syndicate is handling development duties of the turn-based RPG. Ruined King is set in League of Legends’ world of Runeterra, and it’s the first single-player game with the LoL name.
Airship Syndicate is, of course, developer of the critically acclaimed Battle Chasers: Nightwar, and Darksiders Genesis.
Ruined King sees a number of League of Legends champions teaming up over the course of its story. Namely: Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke. The adventure will take you to Bilgewater, and the Shadow Isles.
