Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! has released on PC and console, bringing together a world of poetry and romance in one. The thing is, this is a pretty terrifying world, one that is sold as not being suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed. Make of that what you will.
Available to purchase and download right now, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! drops onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a rather lovely little premise – meet the member of the Literature Club, write poetry and romance your crush.
You may well be wondering what on earth is so terrifying about a humble book club, but this is the legendary mind-bending tale of the Doki Doki Literature Club, one that mixes love with fear, and side-stories concerning friendship and literature fast giving way to some of the most beloved psychological horror of the past decade.
Running a price of £12.49 from the Xbox Store, this critically acclaimed tale comes to console and PC to leave you attempting to charm your favourite crush and to unfold the horrors of high-school romance. In order to find the perfect ending though, you’ll need to crack the code of dating sims – and as we know from previous dating sims like Mr Massagy: Mayo Edition – that’s not always so easy.
But what gives with the Plus! moniker? Well, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is packed to the rafters with a host of additional content and features, with new side stories, unlockable images, a host of music tracks and a visual makeover all in place. In summary, those new features play on the following…
- • 6 new Side Stories about friendship and literature, totaling hours of new content
- • 100+ unlockable images including new game art, wallpapers, never-before-seen concept sketches, and more
- • 26 total music tracks, including 13 all-new unlockable songs by Nikki Kaelar, plus special guests Jason Hayes and Azuria Sky
- • A built-in DDLC music player to unwind with your favorite songs in a custom playlist, or loop a single track forever
- • A high-fidelity visual upgrade with all artwork now in Full HD (1080p)
If you wish to join the Doki Doki Literature Club and think that the Plus! edition of the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC – and PlayStation – is going to be to your liking, get over to the Store of your choosing. Our favourite is the Xbox Store.
