We originally expected to see Saint Kotor start to deliver the psychological thrills on console a year or so ago, but instead it made waves on PC. Now though SOEDESCO have announced that their point-and-click psychological horror detective game will launch in October.
Coming on October 14th 2022 to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Saint Kotar will not just release digitally, but will also drop in on the physical action.
Developed by Red Martyr Entertainment, Saint Kotar was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020 and launched on Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG in October last year.
A Lovecraftian horror set in a cursed valley in Croatia, Saint Kotar is a story-driven psychological horror game that comes with point-and-click mechanics. It sees players focus on the ability to switch between two characters, Benedek and Nikolay, and experience everything through their unique perspectives while searching for their missing relative in the occult-ridden town of Sveti Kotar.
In this story-and-choice driven psychological horror detective game, you play as Benedek and Nikolay – two troubled godly men in search for their missing relative in an ancient God-devoted town called Sveti Kotar. Here, an unknown presence preys upon the weak and sways on devil worship and witchcraft. Evidence points to your missing relative being involved in the grisly murders and the occult, but what is the truth? Are you also to blame for what happened?
You’ll be tasked with putting the pieces together and unravel the truth behind the town’s centuries-old horrid presence. Either that or madness will be your fate?
The key features include:
Solve the mystery behind your relative’s involvement with the town’s bizarre and morbid rituals
Switch between two realities to get to the bottom of the town’s horrifying secrets
Take caution as your choices will affect both story and gameplay
Discover hidden locations and complete side tasks to uncover the whole story
We’ll be sure to remind you when that October release comes along. Check out the trailer for now.
