I’ve seen enough films and TV shows now to know that whenever a detective goes on holiday, they never really go on holiday. Instead, they find themselves drawn into another mystery that needs solving. Well, guess what this next game is about then. Crime Secrets: Crimson Lily is out today on Xbox.
Literally as soon as our detective gets to the gates of her hotel, she comes across a murder scene. Talk about bad luck! But being the professional she is, the holiday is put on hold as she pieces together what has happened here.
Crime Secrets: Crimson Lily is a hidden object murder mystery from some of the best in the business, Artifex Mundi. After inspecting the crime scene, our detective has little to go on, except for a paper lily attached to the body. Is this a calling card of sorts or nothing of interest? It will be up to you to find the clues and put the puzzle together. Id wager it is important, but then again, I am not a private detective.
Crime Secrets: Crimson Lily is on the Xbox Store now priced at £12.49. If you want more than the one, there is the Mysterious Crimes Bundle for £29.99. This includes Crime Secrets: Crimson Lily but also Demon Hunter: Ascendence and Endless Fables: Shadow Within. Let us know in the comments below which version you choose.
Game description
When a grim murder interrupts a private detective’s vacation at the very gate to the hotel at which she was going to stay, she puts her plans for R&R on hold and sets out to do what she does best: solve violent crimes. All she has to go on is a single clue: a mysterious paper lily attached to the victim’s frozen body. Could it be the killer’s calling card? Cut off by a blizzard and left to her own devices, the protagonist will need to put her detective skills to work as she questions possible witnesses, searches for clues, and follows a trail that leads her deep into the dirty dealings of a small town filled with big fish and other enigmatic characters. Was the tragic death of a young journalist, Lilly, a few years back only an accident, or was it somehow connected to the mysterious new murder? Is the killer trying to send a sinister message? If so, why, and to whom? As it turns out, there’s more to the grim story than meets the eye, and not everyone at the hotel is who they appear to be. Will the private investigator manage to track down the culprit?
