Ubisoft has revealed more information about the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of Watch Dogs Legion in a Reddit AMA.
Ubisoft live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan took to the social media site to answer players’ questions about the upcoming title, and revealed how the title will run on next-gen hardware.
Thillainathan confirmed that the game will run at 4K, 30fps on Xbox Series X and PS5, and will also have options players can enable to support ray-tracing. So it’s not just PC players that will benefit from the fancy graphics in Ubisoft’s interpretation of London.
The Ubisoft staffer didn’t confirm whether or not the title will allow players to choose different options – it’s still unknown whether we’ll be able to disable ray-tracing to enable the game to run at 60fps, for example.
If you’re playing on Xbox, the title also supports cross-progression via Smart Delivery, meaning you can start the game on Xbox One and pick up where you left off if you upgrade to Xbox Series X.
You can upgrade the game for free from PS4 to PS5, too.
In the game, you will work to liberate London by building a resistance and you can play as practically any member of the public in doing so.
Watch Dogs: Legion will release on October 29 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and for Windows PC on Epic Games and Uplay. It will also be available at launch for the next-gen set of consoles, coming to Xbox Series X/S on November 10 and on PS5 on November 12.
