Earlier this week, the Entertainment Software Association announced its plans for this year’s E3 event – revealing several major publishers, including Nintendo, would be participating in this “all-virtual” show.

Following this announcement, Nintendo of America’s president Doug Bowser shared his own message on Twitter about the event’s return – mentioning how great it was that the video games industry was getting back together. He also hopes everyone can make the format as “fun and engaging” as possible.

Industry counterpart and head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, also took this opportunity to acknowledge how the “industry is strongest” when it works together and said he was looking forward to revealing more about Xbox’s plans moving forward (thanks, Pure Xbox).

Oh, and if you’re wondering about Sony – as pointed out by our friends over at Push Square, it’s (unsurprisingly) nowhere to be seen, after it stepped away from the event in 2019 to host its own broadcast.

Apart from Nintendo and Xbox, some other publishers in attendance at this year’s all-digital E3 will include Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media. E3 2021 will run from 12th June until 15th June. Find out more in our previous post.

Will you be watching this year’s show? What are you hoping for from Nintendo? Leave your thoughts below.
