What is Horizon Call of the Mountain?

Sony announced the Horizon Call of the Mountain as part of its CES 2022 panel, where it also unveiled the PlayStation VR 2. The next-gen VR headset is built for the PS5’s hardware and sports some pretty impressive capabilities. These include 4K HDR, eye-tracking technology, and vibrating headset feedback depending on your location in-game.

Guerrilla Games’ Jan-Bart van Beek states that Horizon Call of the Mountain was “built from the ground up” for the PSVR 2. As such, the game will utilize the PSVR2 as well as the new Sense controllers. Furthermore, while Call of the Mountain will feature its own unique protagonist, players will also get to meet Aloy and “other familiar faces” from the Horizon series. However, fans will have to wait a little longer for more information on the main character.
