The latest Japanese boxed-video game software and hardware charts are now in via Famitsu for the week beginning 12th September, 2022 to 18th September, 2022. The latest entry in Nintendo’s lucrative Splatoon franchise, Splatoon 3, is by far the best-selling game this week selling an additional 506,610 physical copies. Square Enix’s decision to release an offline version of Dragon Quest X seems to have paid off, as the game has claimed the No.2, No.3 and No.4 positions respectively in this week’s charts. There’s also good news for Microsoft in Japan as the Xbox Series X|S consoles sold more than Sony’s PlayStation 5 this week shifting an additional 14,077 units.
