Looking to own the streets once more? With the latest Need for Speed Heat update you’ll discover a ton more cars, challenges, outfits, and items becoming available.

Available right now to enjoy with your Need for Speed Heat base game is the March update; an update that provides both free and paid content options to ensure that there is reason to head back into Palm City.

Adding new rides via the Black Market Delivery system, the March update sees the first Car Pack drop, with it including a free option that adds new rides, challenge sets, character outfits, customization items and vanity items. Black Market Car Pack #1 details as follows…

  • Free – Aston Martin DB11 Volante (2018)
  • Narrative setting with VO
  • 6x Challenge Sets for the player to complete (3-5 hours of gameplay) featuring both recycled (activites) and new content (exclusive new events)
  • Character outfits
  • Customization items
  • Vanity items

But further to that is the Need for Speed Heat McLaren F1 Black Market Delivery. Priced at £3.99 (although those with EA Access will find the usual 10% discount), this pack brings the following…

  • McLaren F1 (1993)
  • Narrative setting with VO
  • 6x Challenge Sets for the player to complete (3-5 hours of gameplay) featuring both recycled (activites) and new content (exclusive new events)
  • Character outfits
  • Customization items
  • Vanity items

During Black Market Deliveries, you will get the chance to meet Raziel – an underground car dealer who imports two types of cars: variants of already existing cars, available for free and spanking new ones available for real money purchases. To get behind the wheel of the imports, simply head down to Port Murphy and pick them up from a shipping container. This opens a small narrative tied to the car where Raziel will ask the player for a few favors in order to receive a reward. Complete the challenges to get visual customization parts for a new ride, character outfits, and effects fitting the car’s theme. Throughout the journey, players will also discover new events that can be replayed once the Black Market challenge is complete.

If you haven’t fired up Need for Speed Heat in a while then now is as good a time as any, particularly as it has recently received several quality of life improvements, including the ability for racers to plug in their own steering wheel, a chat wheel function and a Keys to the Map paid option which instantly reveals prime locations on the in-game map, including collectibles, activities, and gas stations.

We reckon this latest March update pushes things forward even more and will most certainly be taking to the streets again. Will you join us? Let us know in the comments.
